Attachments and Comments allow the user to discuss a record, make notes and add extra information and files as supporting evidence for a record.
The attachments and comments are visible on the record edit screen and appear as a floating menu in the bottom right corner of the page. If Softools Help Center is configured for your site then this will also appear here. If there are no comments or attachments then the icons will appear as a faded grey colour or if a comment or attachment has been added then the icon will be a bright white colour to attract the users attention.
To add to, view and edit either of these areas click on the icon on the floating menu and a pane will pop out for further actions. The pane an be expanded or reduced by clicking on the sizing icon in the top right of the pane. To close the pane click on the cross in the top left corner.
To add a comment type in the long text box and then click on the add button. Comments can be removed by clicking on the cross on the top right of the comment.
To add an attachment either drag and drop a file into the file upload box or click on 'Choose File' to upload a file from from a local folder. Attachments can be downloaded by clicking on the row for the attachment and they can be removed by clicking on the cross on the right of each attachment.
