Attachments and comments enable users to discuss a record further, by making notes and allowing additional information and file supporting evidence for a record. This is great of adding centralising your files on projects
The attachments and comments can be found on the record edit screen and will be in the floating menu which is located at the bottom right corner of the page. If Softools Help Center is configured for your site then this will also appear here. If there are no comments or attachments, icons will look like the image above. If comments or attachments are attached, then a bright red colour with the quantity will be visible above the icons.
To add, view or edit either of these areas click on the icon on the floating menu and a pane will pop out for further actions. This pane can be further expanded or minimised by click on the sizing icon on the top corner of the pane.
To add a comment click on the 'add comment' button the the bottom left corner of the comments pane.
To add an attachment either drag and drop a file into the file upload box or click on 'browse', alternatively user can click on 'paste' if they have the attachment copied. Attachments can be downloaded by simply clicking on the row for the attachment and they can be removed by clicking on the trash icon on the right of each attachment. If you upload an image then you can also preview the image in the attachments area. Once you have uploaded the image or file you can also add a description to it to for better context
