Use Softools' Export function when in the Risk Register to automatically create beautifully polished and sharable PDF or Word Reports surmising Risks. Or, convert into a .csv (Excel) file format to access even more data manipulation options.

Softools' RiskPlan offers two main ways of Exporting your Risk data - See below for more information on both Export variants and how to monitor them.
- As a PDF or Word Report
- Via the Risk Register and Other Reports
- Monitor and Download your Exports
- Into a .csv file for a more traditional view, that can offer extra data processing options
Risk Register - PDF / Word Templated Report
All exporting in RiskPlan is done via the Risk Register, it is from here that you will select the Risks for Export and use the Action Menu to choose the method.
- Check the box left of 'Title' to toggle on multi-select (much like an email inbox) and choose which Risk Records you'd like to Export. Checking it twice will select all the Risk Records. - Subject to Filters
- Use the Action Menu '..' in the top to select (3.) Export and bring up the option pane.

- Give the Export a custom Filename or it will retain the system generated one.
- Use the list to choose the 'Export Type' USE COMBINED RECORD options ONLY - Either a Word or PDF file type
- Non combined Exports will not work from the Risk Register as your Account does not have the permissions.

- Once a Format is selected you next need to select the correct 'Templated Report'.
- 1. When Exporting a SINGLE Risk
- 2. When Exporting MULTIPLE Risks (as this has Page Breaks)
- After choosing the Templated Report click 'Confirm' to start the Export.
Other Reports - PDF / Word Templated Report
You also have the ability to effortlessly export the remaining RiskPlan reports as they appear on screen - whether this be for evidential purposes in something like a formal Report, or, simply as a quick sharing method. The method as below, is the same for the remaining four Reports.
- Use the Action Menu '..' in the top to select (2.) Export and bring up the option pane.

- Give the Export a custom Filename or it will retain the system generated one.
- Use the list to choose the 'Export Type' - Either a Word or PDF file type.
- Once a Format is selected you next need to select the correct 'Templated Report.
- Find the one that corresponds to the Report you are exporting
- After choosing the Templated Report click 'Confirm' to start the Export.
Monitoring and Downloading Exports
Use the Bell Icon in the top right to monitor and download your Exports, all time and date stamped via the pane.

- Use the down arrow to download the Export to your device.
- The bin next door is used to clear the notification or 'Clear All' to remove all.
Note: Sometimes Exports may appear as a Blue 'Running' or more rarely, not at all - In these instances waiting 10seconds and refreshing the page will see them change to a downloadable Green.
.csv File Export
A .csv type Export can be used to export your Risk data into a columnized spreadsheet and increase your options for analysis.
- Simply follow steps 1. and 2. as above to select Risks for Export and open the Export Options.
- One there either choose to Export 'Report Fields Only' or all Fields by unchecking this.
- 'Report Fields Only' will Export only the data you can see in the Risk Register for each Risk Record.
- Unselecting this will Export all the data associated with each Risk Record.
- Click 'Confirm' to start the Export.
- Once started, use the Bell Icon as seen above to monitor and download the Export.

Columns - Your Risk Record Fields (data).
Rows - Each row represents an individual Risk Record.
Naturally exporting all Fields will leave you with more columns than just Exporting 'Report Fields Only'.
