Why is the search bar not working?
When you have made a field searchable, you might go into workspace and find that you cannot use the search bar. This is because you need to refresh the data in the searchable field before using the search bar.

Step 1 - set the desired field as sortable
Go into app studio to the fields section:
Find the desired field and select it to be searchable as shown:
Step 2 - Update the records in Workspace
Now that you have set a field as searchable in app studio, go into workspace and bulk update the field in question - see here for an article on how to do this:

This will refresh the data in this field. Then resync your app and you will be able to search for this field using the search bar
