Using Field Quick Search to find a Field in App Studio

As Apps grow over time some more complex Apps can end up containing a few hundred Fields. When it comes performing maintenance on the App even with a logical naming convention for the Fields, locating the Field you need to change the config for can become tricky.

If we know the Field Label or the Field ID of the Field that we want to find then we can use the Field Quick Search at the top of the List.

Suppose that we have been tasked with updating our Project App by changing the Field Type of  the Start Date from a Date to a DateTime so that the hour the Project Started can be tracked. To find the Field quickly, we type 'Date' into the search box. This filters down the Field List to only show Fields where date appears in either the Field ID or the Field Label.

By using this feature with can now clearly see our Planned Start Date from a filtered down list of just seven Fields.
