Save time updating multiple Records with In-Line Edit
In-Line Edit allows you to update key information across multiple Records in an App from the List Report. To activate In-Line Edit click on the pencil icon in the top left of the Report and you will see the Report turn all of the Fields into edit mode.
Suppose that you are running your weekly Governance meeting to prioritise Risks for the coming week and you need to review all of the Risk Items in your Risk Register. By having the prioritisation Fields appearing in the Risk Log List Report you can run through each item and change the Probability and Impact to efficiently re-evaluate the potential Risk and hence the Priority.
Let's say that the 'Lack of Resource' Risk has now lowered in Probability as there have been three new resources added. In- line Edit can also be used to add that Commentary. Clicking on the chevrons to open up the detail Fields for the Report, you can type directly into the text area to add the comment.
The data that you update will auto save as soon as you click away from the Field making it an effective feature to run Weekly meetings. An update bar will appear at the bottom of the page listing the number of updates. Click on this notification to show the latest data.
