Welcome to our bi-weekly Softools App Builder Update, where we'll keep you up to date with the latest feature updates, case studies, and community member interviews. It'll be short, sweet, and salient. 

We know how important daily functionality is to you when it comes to app building. This edition is all about that, with new feature releases, upcoming sets of updates and more. Without further ado, let’s dive in. 

New Feature: Release Notes

If you’ve been keeping up with our editions you’d know we’re making App Versioning simpler and more intuitive than ever, step by step. Whether you are building business apps as a solo process expert, or you’re collaborating with a team, tracking app changes and their versions is really important for successful adoption. 

Release Notes are now available to use in your Softools App Studio. While you’re building, you can attach all app-related information in the Release Notes section. You can add information and descriptions of the changes you publish. 

Access Softools from Logic Apps

If you’re using Logic Apps Designer, or have internal tools built on it, you can now access Softools features within your designing interface. Without writing any code, you can integrate workflows using Softools for smooth automation flows and apps.

Tips from the Community

Our hardworking and gifted community often share best practices on app building, here are some of them that you might find useful. 
 

1. How to Add Google Calendar to your Dashboard
   Here’s a way to make your Project Management apps and Holiday tracking apps more user-friendly. 
    
2. How to Create a Record with an Image Action Button
   Try this step-by-step guide to enable easier navigation for new users of your apps and website. Additionally, you can have more control over the process a user follows on your site.  

Join us at the App Builder Surgery Sessions

Since April, we have been hosting live sessions for our community. App builders from across the globe join here every week, to connect with fellow creators, solve their app issues live, get answers to app-building questions, demo their apps, collaborate and more! 

In the previous session, we discussed expression changes and how to update historical data with new expressions. We have made a step-by-step guide for you as well, which you can get here: Knowing how and when to run historic or new expressions when building apps.

In the upcoming session, we are taking up questions from our current ABC training cohort students.
