Our team have been busy improving some of our background processing capabilities as we strive to deliver best-in-class performance. Read on to find out what they have been up to. 

Growing Our Global Inclusivity - Turkish Language supported

We’re delighted to announce that Softools will support Turkish language.

If you’ve been experimenting with our App Studio, you might be familiar with how you can translate your app into other languages. You can auto-translate your apps based on the local language setting in the user’s browser. Subsequently, if your sets of users are spread out across different countries, they will continue to have a seamless experience with your apps. At present, 15 of the most used languages are supported for translation.

Here are step-by-step guides on how to translate your apps in other languages:

Let us know which other languages you would like us to add to the platform! We’d love to hear your feedback on translations so far!

Single Sign-on (SSO)

We all manage a lot of usernames and passwords daily. While most of our users have a dedicated Softools user ID and password many of our clients are choosing to integrate Softools into their corporate-wide Single Sign On architecture. 

The advantages of SSO include:

1. Deploy a company-wide login - where users have only one user id and password for all apps. 
2. Integrate Softools into existing leavers/joiners process 
3. Adopt a company-wide security policy
4. You can still use Softools security to permit users outside your organisation to access Softools applications if required.

If you are interested in exploring SSO and its feasibility within your company please send us a request using the link below for a meeting to discuss further or contact your account manager. There is a setup charge and an annual maintenance fee.

Platform and Performance Improvement

Softools NoCode platform always breathes evolution and efficiency. We often get inspired by you, our community, to break barriers and keep getting better. 

We’re happy to bring you the latest developments happening under the hood: 

1. Higher speed of large CSV file imports - when you’re dealing with massive data sets and report creation for a larger range of time, CSV imports go a long way in helping you. We’re working on reducing the time it takes for 100,000 line CSV files. 
2. Faster bulk operations for Archive, Set Acess Rights, Linked Records and more. 
3. Higher performance calculation of expressions - there will be progressively lesser time needed to add and process any new expression.
4. Validation of Expressions - You will be able to find out in the App Studio itself if an expression won’t work before you publish it. 

Many of these improvements are being tested, to bring them to you soon. Quite a few will reach you in the coming weeks!

Join us at the App Builder Surgery Sessions

Since April, we have been hosting live sessions for our community. App builders from across the globe join here every week, to connect with fellow creators, solve their app issues live, get answers to app-building questions, demo their apps, collaborate and more! 

In the previous session, we went over how to best use record security and make it easier for users to understand. 

In the next session, we’re taking a deeper look at the Aggregate Fields, from fundamentals to advanced use cases in various contexts.
