Good Template Layout
In this post, I'll be going over a generally good layout for templates.
At the top of the template, I have started with my single-cell fields, its best to group these together to fit at the top nicely, these tend to be the most referenced field on the record so its the first thing the use see when opening it like a contents page in a book. When sorting the order its best have date fields, multistate fields and fields that don't match the form of a text field at the end of the rows as it looks more aesthetically pleasing when the columns are matching.
Below I have the long textbox, but this can be any large spanning field like a grid field or notes field, this means if the field covers a large amount of rows then the important data at the top is sill the first thing you see. After that I tend to have charts at the bottom or atleast beneth the grid field it is pulling the data from as it flows better when reading the page from top to bottom.
