Open AI GPT-4 turbocharges the Ideas Accelerator by generating best-practice ideas and solutions for a given challenge. This capability can look externally or be channelled to address an internal data source depending on the business need.

New Feature: Workflow Run History 

The latest update to our next-generation Workflow capability is the addition of a Workflow History feature. This provides App Builders with visibility of which workflows have run along with any failures so there is assurance that Workflow has been correctly configured. 

The tool also gives visibility into workflows that are not being used to assist in streamlining App configuration and making maintenance more efficient.

Feature Improvement: Workflow Scheduling

You can now configure your Scheduled Workflow with greater accuracy. 

• Timezones are supported which removes potential issues with daylight saving
• Repeat Daily / Weekly or Monthly options available

Coming Soon: New Menu System in App Studio

The Softools App Studio’s Menu System is getting a make-over, we are arranging the configuration process within top-level menus that expand into the various App Configuration elements.

The changes are not significant and are being made to provide logical navigation for App Builders while creating space for new features and the team are working hard to streamline the already rapid App Build process further.

Our community is always busy inventing new ways of solving problems. Many of their contributions are highlighted as Community Posts. Here are some of the Softools best practices that you can implement in your app-building right away.

1. App Home Card 
The App Home Screen displays records that have been most recently accessed by the user, so provides a rapid way of accessing records that have recently been created/updated.
Here’s how you can customise the data displayed on each Card so you can highlight relevant information about the record so it is available at a glance.

2. Creating a Dynamic Filter 
Now you can remove the need for manually creating individual filters for each year and month or updating a single filter yearly or monthly. Here’s how you can achieve the same result by setting the filter only once.
