The App Guide section of the app configuration is a non-editable overview of the app. To change any of the information about the app, go to the basic and advanced configuration screens.
The sections of the App Guide are as follows:
Overview
The first section gives a brief overview of the app, including the name, category, description and KPI.
Name - This is the name of the app which is configurable in the Basic Config section of App Studio.
The icon for the app is also shown on the right-hand side of this section.
Category - This is the category of the app which is shown in the Launchpad. Categories allow you to group and order apps in workspace. The groups are organised alphabetically/in ascending order if numbers are used. For example, having three groups of ABC training, Project Management and Technical Apps would be in this order, or if you had them numbered like so, 1.Technical Apps, 2.Project Management and 3.ABC Training would be ordered like so. The group is configurable in the Advanced Config section of App Studio.
Description - This is the information of the app as set in the Basic Config section, explaining what the app is used for.
KPI - This is a section used to explain what the Key Performance Indicator is for the app. This means that you can set specific targets and goals for the use of the app that you can then reflect on to see if the app is meeting your goals and requirements. This is configurable in the Advanced Config section of App Studio.
Interfaces
This section shows you which apps in Softools are linked to this app.
This will show a child or a parent app that is linked to the current one. There is also a button here where you can navigate to the aforementioned child or parent app. App integration is configured in the integrate section found in the advanced folder of App Studio.
Tech Options
This section explains what advanced tech options are enabled in the app.
Connectivity - This shows whether the app is available Offline, which is an option that allows the app to be shown when the user is offline and then this will save when they connect back to wifi/data. This is configurable in the Advanced Config section of App Studio.
Single Sign-On - This shows whether the site uses single sign-on which means that users do not need to put in a username and password, just their email address which is supported through connecting Softools to an external application, such as Azure. For more information on Single Sign-On options, click here.
Single Sign-On is configurable in the Advanced Config section of App Studio.
Languages - This section shows what languages are enabled for this app. Any languages shown here will mean that if the user has this language as their browser language, the app will auto-translate to this language, allowing users to choose a language other than English for Softools. Languages are configurable in the Advanced Config section of App Studio and then you can run an auto-translation for the app in the Language section of the advanced folder in App Studio.
