What reports can be added to a dashboard?

Adding reports to your dashboard is a powerful way to visualize data and keep important metrics front and centre. However, not all report types are compatible with dashboard integration. Below you’ll find a guide to which reports you can add to your dashboards and which ones are not currently supported.

Reports Compatible with Dashboards

You can enhance your dashboard with a variety of dynamic reports to suit your data presentation needs. The following report types are supported:

• Area: Show trends over time with a filled curve graph.
• Area-spline: Combine the smoothness of a spline with the filling of an area chart.
• Bar: Compare different sets of data with horizontal bars.
• Bubble: Visualize data with varying bubble sizes to represent different values.
• Column: Display data in vertical bars to easily compare across categories.
• Gauge: Illustrate the completion rate or level of a single metric.
• Line: Connect individual data points in a straight line to show trends.
• Network: Depict relationships and networks between different entities.
• Pie: Represent parts of a whole in a circular chart.
• Polar: Plot data along the polar radius with this circular graph type.
• Scatter: Use points to represent two variables in a data set.
• Spline: Display data with a smooth line to highlight trends or variations.
• Google Map: Integrate geographical data with an interactive map.
• Monte Carlo: Uses probability models to predict possible outcomes in complex systems.

Reports Not Supported on Dashboards

Certain types of reports are currently not visible on dashboards due to their complex structures or specific interaction models. These include:

• Dashboard (nested dashboards are not supported)
• Gantt
• List (However, this can be added as a dual report)
• Map
• Matrix
• Summary Series
• Table (This too can be added as a dual report)

Special Conditions for List and Table Reports

While List and Table reports cannot be directly added as standalone elements on dashboards, they can be incorporated as part of a dual report. This allows for a combined view that pairs the list or table with another supported report type, providing a comprehensive perspective.
